Kudomax exists because of a very specific moment in wearable history. In 2026, Google, Garmin, Polar and Amazfit all decided — within about twelve months of each other — that a lot of people want health tracking without another glowing screen on their body. Suddenly there was a whole category of screen-free bands and smart rings, and almost nobody covering it seriously.
So that's what we do. Screen-free fitness trackers, smart rings, and the gear around them. Nothing else.
How we evaluate products
We'll be straight with you about our method, because it's the thing that matters most on a review site.
For every product we cover, we start with the official spec sheets, then spend most of our time where the truth actually lives: owner feedback across Amazon listings, Reddit threads and fitness communities, plus hands-on reports from independent testers whose track record we trust. We cross-check every factual claim against multiple sources before it goes in a review, and we model total cost of ownership over a year — because a "$99" band with a required subscription isn't a $99 band.
Scores weigh five things: comfort, battery, data quality, app experience, and total cost. When a product has real problems — mixed owner reviews, a mandatory membership, a missing sensor — we say so in the review, right next to the buy button. Check any of our reviews and you'll find a "cons" list that names actual dealbreakers, not filler like "may be too powerful for some users."
What we will and won't do
- No sponsored placements, ever. Brands don't pay to appear here, and they don't see verdicts before you do.
- No copied ratings. Scores on this site are our own editorial opinions — never Amazon customer ratings dressed up as ours.
- No fake testing claims. When our take is based on aggregated owner feedback and spec research rather than weeks on our own wrist, we write it that way.
- Updates when we're wrong. Products get firmware updates; early complaints get fixed (or don't). We re-check picks and links quarterly and revise scores when the evidence moves.
How this site makes money
Affiliate commissions from Amazon — that's it. When you buy through one of our links (all labeled "paid link"), Amazon pays us a small percentage at no extra cost to you.
